Preparation of mesoporous batatas biochar via soft-template method for high efficiency removal of tetracycline

In this contribution, we apply a soft-template-assisted hydrothermal route using polyethylene-polypropylene glycol (F127) as soft-template agent and biomass batatas carbon precursor to synthesis novel mesoporous biochar (HMC-800) for adsorptive removal of tetracycline (TC) from wastewater. We use the prepared without F127 direct pyrolytic comparison. The physicochemical properties all studied samples are measured suite characterization techniques. Our results show that HMC-800 displays highest specific surface area (286.3 m2/g) total pore volume (0.249 cm3/g), manifesting introduction can result in formation well-developed structures. Regarding adsorption properties, outperforms other TC removal. finding shows solution with near-neutral pH is favorable removal, capacity observed at initial value 7. addition, our findings applying pseudo-second-order kinetic Freundlich isotherm equation closely models recorded behavior. maximum be much 238.7 mg/g by Langmuir model.
